Where to go in January 2020?

Admire the Northern Lights in Iceland, immerse yourself in the exuberant nature of Costa Rica, rediscover Lille in terms of design.

Iceland, winter break under the northern lights

Here in winter it is (almost) dark all day. Sparsely populated, Iceland is one of the best spots to observe the northern lights. Many packages allow you to go 3-4 days to Reykjavik to be enchanted by their colorful fairyland. They include night excursions outside the capital, in order to admire this phenomenon in a lunar atmosphere. At the gates of Reykjavik, you can bask in the warm waters of the Blue Lagoon, when it is polar outside, but beware, like all-natural phenomena, the northern lights are not 100% guaranteed. Apply for you Schengen visa with us now.

Costa Rica: the green paradise

The Costa Rica, ecotourism paradise with lush nature holds more than 5% of known living species. Costa Rica is home to a rare variety of flora and fauna. The big cats rub shoulders with the tapir, the toucan, the parrots and the superb green and red quetzal, various species of monkeys, crocodiles without forgetting the sea turtles which land there by the thousands on moonless nights.

Conscious of this unique heritage, the Costa Ricans have classified more than a quarter of their territory into national parks and reserves: on the menu, impenetrable forests, marshes and cordilleras grafted with more than a hundred volcanoes. This massif erects a natural barrier between the dream beaches of the Caribbean coast and those of the Pacific, kingdom of surfers.

Finally, you will be won over by the warm welcome and the kindness of its inhabitants, the Ticos. Who says better, on an area of only 51,000 km2?

Lille, world design capital in 2020

After Turin, Seoul, Helsinki, Cape Town, Taipei and Mexico, Lille is the first French city to be designated World Design Capital in 2020. Throughout the year, the beauty of Flanders presents a rich cultural program of exhibitions, experiments, festive and educational events around various aspects of daily life: the habitat, the link with nature and sustainable development, food, mobility, well-being for seniors.

The opportunity to treat yourself to a getaway in this young and dynamic city, located 1 hour by TGV from Paris and at the crossroads of Europe. Exciting museums, nice taverns and nightlife, welcoming Lille residents. This is a city that warms the heart, whatever the season.

Where to go in February 2020?

Tamil Nadu: South India in Tamil version

Located in the south-east of India, Tamil Nadu, less known than its neighbors, offers its visitors a cultural journey of great wealth. Its geographical location has allowed it to preserve the foundations of the original Dravidian culture.

This is in Tamil Nadu today that still stand the most beautiful Hindu temples Madurai, Trichy, Thanjavur, Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Gangaikondacholapuram, Rameswaram (pilgrimage town of Varanasi in India after). Tamil, the language spoken there, is one of the oldest in the world.

The landscapes are varied, from the Eastern Ghats, which mark a natural border with Kerala, to the dry and arid plains of the Center, passing by the coast and the sandy beaches.

On the city side, we will stop at Pondicherry (today Puducherry), a former French trading post. This is where the Sri Aurobindo ashram was established and, in the surrounding area, the city of Auroville founded in 1968 and inhabited by a large international community. Madurai, with the Sri Meenakshi temple, the highlight of Dravidian art, is unmissable. Finally, Chennai (formerly Madras), the state capital, is bursting with activity, like any self-respecting Indian city.

The Côte d’Azur in bloom and celebrating: Nice, Menton, Bormes

Sun in winter without leaving France? It is highly probable on the side of the Côte d’Azur where, if the yellow of the sun is lacking, that of the flowers and fruits is all the same. First in the Var, with the flowering mimosa which has its own route and brightens the flowered Corso de Bormes. More tangy, the lemon yellow shines in Menton which, in February, celebrates this citrus fruit.

Finally, a profusion of colors of all kinds, festivities and parades meet the Riviera and tourists for the famous Carnival of Nice (February 15 to 29) which, this year, will have as its theme “the King of Fashion”. You will understand, to escape the gloom, direction the Riviera in February. Apply for a France Visa with TSF Singapore.

Van Eyck and the great Flemish masters in Ghent, Bruges or Antwerp

After Rubens and Bruegel, Flanders continues to pay tribute to the great masters of Flemish painting with Van Eyck. An exhibition event is held at Museum of Fine Arts, Ghent, city where the famous polyptych of the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb (1st February to 30 April).

The opportunity to rediscover the city of Ghent, whose historic heart crossed by canals is a little gem. Unquestionably one of the most beautiful cities in Belgium. And since everything is close to everything else in Quiévrain, take advantage of your stay to visit other beautiful Flemish people like Bruges, Antwerp or Leuven.

Where to go in March 2020?

Galway and Connemara, at the heart of Europe in 2020

Located in the west of Ireland, Galway is one of the European capitals of culture in 2020. From 1st February, the city will host numerous festivities on the themes of landscape, language and migration. This is the right time to (re) visit the port, whose existence dates back to at least the 12th century. Animated throughout the year by numerous festivals, Galway is traversed via pleasant pedestrian streets (Quay Street, Cross Street) lined with colorful houses and sheltering many pubs.

Galway is also the port of embarkation for the splendid Aran Islands and the gateway to Connemara, this legendary Irish region that all French people dream of visiting one day. Here, Gaelic culture and customs are admirably preserved. As for the landscape composed of peat bogs, moors and fields where sheep graze, it will enchant more than one. The intense charm of eternal Ireland, apply for a Schengen Visa with TSF visa application center.

Marie-Galante and Les Saintes, off Guadeloupe

Have you ever hummed the song “Belle-Île en Mer” by Laurent Voulzy? It is high time to go explore the “real” Marie-Galante, a Caribbean island with a heady scent, which lasts long after your return to metropolitan France. An island that we love, surely, few cars, fields of sugar cane as far as the eye can see, superb beaches and exceptional seabed. “The quiet island”, located south of Grande-Terre, sometimes reminds us of Guadeloupe of yesteryear.

Another gem, Les Saintes: less than 1 hour by boat from Guadeloupe, a real wonder made up of two small islands, Terre-de-Haut and Terre-de-Bas, and 7 rocky and uninhabited islets. Without forgetting one of the most beautiful bays in the world.

Tel Aviv: festive and trendy

Connected to France by many low-cost lines, Tel Aviv is an excellent city break destination, but also the modern and trendy gateway to Israel, in complete contrast to Jerusalem. Here, it’s a bit like Miami-sur-Méditerranée.

Tel Aviv is also a city of culture and pleasure with a very dynamic artistic and gastronomic scene: theater, music, contemporary dance, museums and art galleries, designer workshops, but also excellent restaurants and a vibrant nightlife. All at the edge of the Mediterranean with superb beaches.

Economic lung of the country, this metropolis is in full urban metamorphosis. But it has preserved many white buildings in the Bauhaus style, listed as World Heritage by Unesco. A hedonistic and hyperactive city, terribly attractive, almost a bubble within a tormented Near East.

Where to go in April 2020?

Marvel at the archaeological treasures of Macedonia, explore the pictorial world of Impressionism in Normandy, go back in time in the imperial city of Hue, in Vietnam.

Impressionist Normandy

Impressionist Normandy, fourth! This great festival, which enlivens the entire region around the famous artistic movement of the late 19th century, returns from April 3 to September 6 with its 4th edition. Hundreds of events are planned: exhibitions, conferences, music, theater and various festive events. Theme of the 2020 edition: color day by day. An appointment not to be missed.

Macedonia: to the north, another Greece

Much less touristy than the Cyclades or the Peloponnese, northern Greece offers a different face from the country, more Balkan and less Mediterranean. Welcome to Macedonia (the region, not the country), between cultivated plains and mountain ranges, where ancient history, like everywhere in Greece, has left remarkable traces, like the underground archaeological site of Vergina (Unesco), where was the first capital of ancient Macedonia. One of whose sovereigns was none other than Alexander the Great.

Several civilizations have succeeded in Northern Greece (Macedonians, Romans, Byzantines, Jews, Ottomans) giving it a cosmopolitanism which is expressed wonderfully in the second city of Greece:  Thessaloniki ,  an industrial and commercial city, but also a city of art, known for the beauty of its Byzantine churches (Unesco).

Then, explore the hinterland and Chalkidiki, a region by the sea, with three peninsulas:  Kassandra, Sithonia and the mythical Mount Athos. Without forgetting Mount Olympus (2,917 m), the domain of the gods where we will wait at the end of May at the beginning of June to climb to the summit. Greet Zeus for us. TSF Singapore can help you apply for a Greece Visa and Schengen Visa.

Central Vietnam, around Hue Imperial

Neither Mekong Delta nor Long Bay in central Vietnam where there is much to discover from Da Nang, which can be reached directly through an international airport. History, tangible and intangible heritage (arts, customs, cuisine), beaches and outdoor activities (cycling, trekking, surfing), cultural mixes, traditions and modernity without forgetting the historic cities of Hue and Hoi An. The list is long.

From 15th to 19th century Hoi An was a major trading port of Southeast Asia, visited by ships worldwide. Its splendid wooden buildings have earned it a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Former imperial capital of Vietnam under the Nguyen dynasty (last Vietnamese imperial dynasty), Hue saw 13 emperors reign. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it conceals a magnificent royal citadel, in which the “imperial city” and the “forbidden purple city” nest, as well as remarkable royal tombs. One of the jewels of Southeast Asia.

Where to go in May 2020?

Go hiking in Morocco, discover the Rijeka region in Croatia, get on your bicycle on the French cycle routes.

Morocco, hiking side

The Morocco, its imperial cities, beaches, gastronomy, and hiking! Because this Maghreb country, with its superb landscapes in all contrasts, is also a natural destination of choice.

In the mountains of the Moroccan Atlas which cross the country on a south-west / north-east axis, no souk, no imperial cities or endless bargaining. Rather melee with nature whose beauty often leaves you speechless.

We can go to the Toubkal, the highest point in North Africa, cross the central High Atlas or, in a radically different genre, the  Jebel Saghro and Siroua . True desert lovers will rush towards the instagrammable erg Chebbi or, for a more authentic atmosphere, in the region of Jdaïd, west of Taouz. They will have the desert (almost) for them. Grabbing.

Rijeka and Kvarner: Croatia, between beach and culture

Do you know Rijeka? It is the other European capital of culture in 2020: a Croatian port on the Adriatic, less known than Split or Dubrovnik, with, at its gates, the Gulf of Kvarner which is west of the Croatia, very close to Slovenia and Italy. Rijeka has a long history, influenced by several cultures: after the Austro-Hungarian domination, it was Italian, independent (Free State of Fiume), before becoming Yugoslav and, finally, Croatian. You can visit the castle of Trsat which overlooks the city, or the Saint-Guy cathedral, in baroque style.

On both sides of Rijeka, you can discover the Risnjak National Park and the Učka Natural Park. South of Rijeka lie the islands of Kvarner Bay: Cres, Krk, Rab or Lošin j, which also contain many treasures. A beautiful region of Croatia to discover. Use our service today and get a Schengen visa to visit Croatia.

France on a bicycle is trendy

You are more and more cycling enthusiasts, well done! It is indeed an excellent way – ecological in addition – to discover the country in “slow tourism” mode, with friends or family, and above all in a friendly atmosphere.

France has thousands of kilometers of cycle paths in all regions, as well as major cycle routes. Among the most important: the  Via Rhôna, which covers almost 800 km between Lake Geneva and the Mediterranean, the  Loire à Vélo, an 800 km track along the King River, the Vélodyssée and its 1,200 km along the Atlantic coast, between Roscoff and Hendaye, or the  Canal des Deux Mers by bike , whose 800 km route links Royan to Sète.

To guide you on your cycling journeys, the Routard offers guides entirely dedicated to these routes and, from April 2020, a new guide on the most beautiful bike rides in France.

Where to go in June 2020?

Take a Nordic city break on the Baltic, feel very small in front of the great outdoors of Vancouver Island, experience spring in the gardens of France.

Vancouver Island: Wild Canada and the Pacific

Vancouver is the famous city sung by Véronique Sanson, but it is also an island big. Vancouver Island   is even a travel destination in itself, off the beaten track and away from the crowds if you travel in June and September. It is larger than Belgium, with an area of 32,134 km2, but much less populated: most of Vancouver Island remains uninhabited. Allow at least a week of travel.

Vancouver Island displays wild landscapes, impenetrable vegetation, immense sandy beaches and incredible wildlife (bears, pumas, whales, orcas). The forests evoke plant cathedrals and, moreover, one of them is called Cathedral Grove: it’s almost thousand-year-old trees are the age of our churches.

The population of the island is concentrated in its southern part, around Victoria, with a British atmosphere. A few tens of kilometers further north, nature takes back all its rights. Only two routes cross the island, one to Tofino, a global surfing hot spot to the west, the other to Port Hardy, to the north. An extraordinary island for a trip like no other.

France, garden side

The 1st weekend of June, France gives Go to gardens: an event that has to (re) discover almost 2,300 gardens open throughout France, including 500 in exceptional cases. Readings, theatrical events, conferences, exhibitions, meetings, games, concerts, plant grants are organized.

June is the ideal time to explore the gardens of France. Among the most beautiful gardens in France not to be missed: those of the villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (Alpes-Martimes), of the manor of Eyrignac in the Périgord, of Claude Monet in Giverny (Eure ), the Bois des Moutiers floral park in Varengeville (Seine-Maritime), the oriental park of Maulévrier (Maine-et-Loire), without forgetting the Château de Chaumont with its “garden festival”.

Saint Petersburg and the Baltic capitals: Nordic city breaks

Now accessible with a simple free electronic visa (for a maximum of 8 days), Saint Petersburg joins the club of leading city breaks in Europe (allow a minimum of 4 days). It is therefore more than ever the moment to (re) discover it on the occasion, for example, of the White Nights around the summer solstice.

On the menu: Palace of the 18th century, Byzantine churches, squares, colonnades, monuments, statues, museums and above, including the Hermitage, one of the richest in the world! But we must not forget the non-touristy districts, perhaps less flashy, but more authentic, which evoke Dostoevsky’s Russia.

For a longer trip, play leapfrog in the Baltic capitals Riga, Vilnius, Tallinn (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia) which have very beautiful historic centers, where Baroque splendours and daring Art Nouveau enchant the eye. The St. John is celebrated especially by the Baltic, with bonfires, parties with friends and family, mostly in the countryside. One of the highlights of the year.

Where to go in July 2020?

Head for maritime Brittany, country Sweden or the splendid landscapes of Ecuador, between mountain and ocean.

Brest and Brittany, islands side

The International Maritime Festivals are back to Brest in July 2020. Open to the sea, Brittany is undoubtedly the region of France that gives us the most desire to set sail. Starting with the Breton islands, which are among the most beautiful islands in France and really disorientate us, just a few kilometers from the coast.

As in Bréhat, in the Côtes-d’Armor, green and flowery, guaranteed 100% without a car. Or in Ouessant, a sublime westernmost territory in France, with its jagged coasts, its lighthouses, its villages and its tormented landscapes. Another exceptional island, the little Sein, five kilometers from the Pointe du Raz in Finistère.

With its translucent waters, the Glénan archipelago takes on the air of Polynesian paradise under the sun. Also, in the Atlantic Ocean, the island of Groix, in Morbihan, the famous Belle-Île-en-Mer and the islands of the Gulf of Morbihan offer a summary of the beauties of southern Brittany. For a more peaceful atmosphere, you can also go there in June or September.

Ecuador: Latin America and the Andes

Between Colombia and Peru, the Ecuador offers an amazing range of landscapes and cultures from the Pacific to the Amazon straddling the Andes, volcanoes and snow-capped. In addition, there are the Galapagos Islands, a unique wildlife reservoir in the world.

Less provided with large archaeological sites than Peru (and less touristy), Ecuador is distinguished by the richness of the historic centers of Quito and Cuenca, its grandiose landscapes and its amazing biodiversity, especially in the Amazon and the Galapagos Islands.

It is a country with multiple cultures: the Indians of the Sierra have largely preserved their Andean customs, while the coast is under Caribbean influence. In the big cities, the western way of life is in order. Half the size of France, this small Latin American country has something to seduce the traveler, during a journey of at least two weeks.

Southern Sweden, between city and countryside

Green countryside, forests, villages nestled in the bright yellow fields of rapeseed crops, beaches, beautiful mansions, gardens, manors, castles. But also, pleasant towns like Malmö, the medieval city from Lund, Helsingborg or Kristianstad. Such is Scania, in the south of Sweden, a gentle region, very “slow tourism” where the bicycle is king.

A pretty summer destination that can be combined with urban stays with, nearby, big cities like Copenhagen, Stockholm and Gothenburg, green metropolises open to the sea, which are at the gates of a splendid nature. And, in summer, the nights are short, the evenings long and lively in the superb northern light.

Where to go in August 2020?

Discover the authenticity of the Cévennes, smell the sea air in the Scottish islands, learn about Zulu culture in South Africa.

South Africa: Kwazulu Natal, travel to Zulu land

Less known than the Cape region, Kwazulu-Natal, which is reached by Durban airport, is one of the most beautiful areas in South Africa. It offers, on one side, a spectacular coastline and, on the other, parks rich in flora and fauna, without forgetting the peaks of the Drakensberg. But it is above all the territory of Zululand, the historic and cultural heart of the Zulu nation.

The National Park Ukhahlamba-Drakensberg is one of the star attractions of the region. Listed as World Heritage, its mountains offer multiple hiking possibilities. The Isimangaliso wetland park is the second site in the province to be listed as a UNESCO heritage site. Located on the north coast of Maputaland, between the Indian Ocean and Lake Banghazi, it is home to 5 interdependent ecosystems and the southernmost barrier reef in the world.

As for the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi reserve, it is the territory of the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo) and white rhino (an endangered species). An unforgettable trip.

Maritime Scotland

It is the Year of Water and Coastline in Scotland: the perfect opportunity to discover the rich maritime heritage of this magnificent region. Many festivities celebrate the aquatic element across the territory such as the Dolphin Fest in Aberdeen or the Clydebuilt maritime festival in Glasgow in September.

But the sea in Scotland is above all its many islands, small maritime and northern paradises, with the famous Isle of Skye (to be preferred out of season), but also the Orkney Islands to observe wildlife and birds, the Shetland Islands  imprinted with Viking culture or less known nuggets like Islay or Jura. What to do, once is not custom, an infidelity in the Highlands.

The Cévennes, life-size

Tired of crowds? What if you played Into the Wild in VF (with a happier ending, all the same)? The Cévennes region, with its large intact spaces and its heritage carved in stone, is one of the most unique, engaging and preserved in France.

Hamlets of schist or granite dot its mountains and its plateaus which seem impenetrable, from Mont Lozère to Mont Aigoual. You are here in the country of diehard camisards. A land of emotions and sensations, austere and superb, between Gard and Lozère, where you can do one of the most beautiful hikes in France: the Stevenson path.

And to explore the territory well, Le Routard publishes a guide dedicated to the Cévennes National Park in May 2020. Apply online for a Schengen Visa.

Where to go in September 2020?

Explore the Indonesian archipelago, slash champagne in the Aube, set off on the roads to Compostela in Galicia.

Galicia and Asturias: North West Spain

North-West Spain, undoubtedly less known than Andalusia or Catalonia, offers great moments to the traveler, and not only on the paths of Compostela.

With Celtic roots, Galicia, a sort of Spanish Brittany where we find a Cape Finisterre, is one of the greenest regions of the Iberian Peninsula, between deserted coves and cliffs falling steeply in the Atlantic. World famous thanks to the city of Santiago de Compostela, it really deserves to be explored beyond this legendary site.

On the north coast of Spain, framed by Galicia and Cantabria, the region of Asturias conceals unexpected riches: spectacular nature, with in particular the magnificent Picos de Europa massif, beaches, prehistoric sites and an interesting heritage in Oviedo and Gijon, without forgetting an original gastronomy.

Aube and the Bar coast: champagne

This is a nice getaway to do just before autumn in an authentic and little-known corner of France. Located between Île-de-France and Burgundy, the south of Aube has three major assets: the historic heart of Troyes, large lakes nestled in a forest and hillsides covered with sparkling vines.

We start with this treasure that is the neighborhoods of the old Troyes, with its houses with wood side the majority of 16th century. The other treasure is   the Côte des Bar champagne vineyard located the most south of the AOC zone. In addition to the tastings, we take great pleasure in walking in Bar-sur-Aube, for example, or in Essoyes where the Renoir family spent its summers.

Do not miss either to go to Clairvaux Abbey, a former major site of the Cistercian order founded in 1115. A trip to do with the brand new Routard Côte des Bar in bookstores from April 2020.

Indonesia, beyond Bali

Bali is a great island, but do you know its neighbor Lombok? Less touristy, it is an excellent complement to Bali. Here we are Muslim, as in the rest of the archipelago. The seaside resorts are in their infancy. The volcano is called Rinjani (possible ascent), the beaches are wild and sublime (especially in the South), thelocal Kuta has remained very backpacker and the infrastructures are less developed. And, if you still have the desire for islands, Indonesia has something for you, from Sumatra to Komodo via Java and Sulawesi.

Where to go in October 2020?

Visit Puglia out of season, take your eyes off it in Japan, explore the diversity of Occitania in style.

Occitanie, for all tastes

This is a region of France that will make you love autumn, because the climate is as mild as the countryside, the gastronomy helps to perk up in case of rain, the cities are dynamic and the welcome often warm. Gathering marvellous territories like Gascogne, Quercy, Cévennes, Languedoc or Roussillon , crossed by the Canal du Midi, rising in the Pyrenees and bordering the Mediterranean, the Occitanie region has many exceptional places: natural landscapes, towns and villages with a long history, emblematic monuments, prominent towns like Toulouse , Montpellier , Carcassonne, Sète, Albi. From the Cirque de Gavarnie toPont du Gard and the Vermeille coast in Conques, it even has its own “Grands Sites” to discover during your stays with the brand newBackpackers Favorite in Occitania, which will be published in April 2020.

Autumn in Japan, in color

If the cherry blossom season (March) is one of the best times to visit Japan, autumn, with the trees which display superb colors, is also a good option. Tokyo and Kyoto are, of course, unmissable stops, with an excursion to the Hakone region and Mount Fuji. The archipelago, by its diversity, will reserve many surprises for you, just like Japanese culture. A whole universe to discover and, undoubtedly, a significant travel experience, the year when the Olympic Games put the country in the spotlight.

Puglia, exactly under the sun

Very popular in summer, the Apulia region, located in the heel of the Italian boot, is rediscovered more serenely out of season. Direction the Itria valley, where the famous conical trulli are concentrated. This region, halfway between Bari and Brindisi, reveals superb villages perched in the heart of a green countryside where olive groves, vineyards and orchards thrive. All this, just a few kilometers from the Adriatic beaches and adorable fishing ports like Monopoli or Polignano a Mare.

Further south, Salento, a sort of Italian Finistère, also has superb beaches with translucent waters and exceptional historic cities like Gallipoli and, above all, Lecce nicknamed the “Florence of the South”.

Where to go in November 2020?

Do yourself good in Burgundy, climb the Himalayas in Nepal, recharge your batteries in authentic Algarve.

The Algarve out of season

It is the southernmost and sunniest region of Portugal. Very popular in summer, the Algarve is full of assets for an autumn stay. Certainly, the sea will be reserved for the less chilly, but the days are still beautiful in November and the atmosphere very calm. It’s time to discover the beautiful villages of the hinterland, like Monchique and Silves, to stroll along the coast to admire photogenic sites like the Ponta da Piedade and to discover the natural park of the Southwest alentejan and the vicentine coast, with the air of the end of the world.

Nepal, from Kathmandu to the Himalayas

Annapurnas, Dolpo, Mustang, Everest, Zanskar. So many names that make hikers, trekkers and mountaineers dream whatever their level. October-November are good months for Nepal, the sky is often clear and the rhododendrons in bloom. Before leaving for the heights, do not miss the Kathmandu valley with its splendid temples. A dream trip in landscapes larger than life.

Where to go in December 2020?

Go on an epicurean and luminous trip to Lyon, feast on chocolate and mulled wine in Switzerland, take a dip in the blue of the Andaman Sea in Thailand.

Thailand: to the south, the Andaman Sea found

The Andaman Sea, its sandy beaches, its karst cliffs, its translucent waters. One of the most beautiful seascapes in Asia, sometimes a victim of its success. To savor all its charm, you have to go to the very south of Thailand, in the provinces of Trang and Satun, far from Phuket and just before the border with Malaysia.

Offshore, the Andaman Sea is dotted with dozens of islands, the majority being virgin islets of all habitation. Ko Muk, Ko Bulon or Ko Sukorn are for example still inhabited by local communities (the chao lays), descendants of Muslim fishermen from Indonesia, and resist tourist flows. Only Ko Lipe is very popular today.

Next door, Ko Tarutao, protected by a national park, is almost virgin. Superb havens of peace to disconnect between two sea trips in a long tail boat.

Lyon of Lights and Gourmet Lyon

What if we rediscover gourmet Lyon, before, during or after the Fête des Lumières? Between Saône and Rhône, the former capital of Gaul has become one of the major cities in Europe. Like the city, which is reinventing itself and renewing itself with the superb Musée des Confluences, Lyon’s gastronomy is far from being limited to traditional stoppers and checkered tablecloths.

It is now a city where young chefs, with a creative and traveling spirit, have managed to find a place alongside the heirs of Bocuse. It is time to go taste the tremendous vitality of Lyonnais cuisine, which has been able to open up to the influences of the world, without losing its specificity.

And, to go further, from Dijon to Marseille, we can also have a gourmet road trip along the valley of gastronomy, a new tourist route that takes us to meet producers and restaurateurs. To combine the pleasures of travel and the table. Get your Schengen Visa today with TSF Singapore.
