Cluny Museum
The splendid Cluny Museum is housed in the prestigious Abbess of Cluny City Palace, which was built at the end of the 15th century in the 5th arrondissement of Paris in the heart of the Latin Quarter. The beautiful museum shows not only important collections on the art of the Middle Ages, but also the remains of the Gallo-Roman thermal baths of ancient Lutetias. During your visit to this historic place, you will discover the famous pillars of the Nautae Parisiaci, the Parisian nautical pillars, in the hall of the frigidarium, Romanesque and Gothic sculptures, including some from the Notre-Dame cathedral of Paris , enchanting windows and goldsmith work, but also remarkable wall hangings, including the main attraction of the museum, namely the six-part wall hanging “Lady with the Unicorn”.
