The Orsay Museum is primarily a museum for occidental art from 1848 to 1914. Numerous masterpieces are shown, including creations by Monet, Cézanne, Degas, Manet, Renoir, Gauguin, Van Gogh and Rodin.
The completely renovated Orsay Museum has also been offering a new exhibition area for temporary exhibitions since autumn 2011, an amazing café with a dreamy water atmosphere and an additional 2,000 m² of exhibition space for decorative arts.
